You guessed it, woke up 05.45 this time, went for a walk but turned right on the beach instead of left. We came across a really nice Italian complex which is being built with 2, 3 and 4 bedroom properties. The foreman of the site showed us around and I have to say that they are very nice. On saying that, their beach, although only about half a mile away from ours, had volcanic rocks with very sharp edges leading up from the sea to the sand. I am happy to say that our beach has nothing like that and is safe from any rocks.
On returning to Villa Maris, we were sitting having breakfast when we saw something very strange. Was it a bird…..no, it was the TACV plane leaving the island. We had never seen anything from our window but sand, blue sky and the hot blazing sun before. It seemed an odd sight. Ellie arrived with 2 English guys who turned out to be Trevor Wilson and Steve Mettam from Boavista services. They were here to assemble their furniture which arrived yesterday and to furnish property numbers 6, 19, 22, 35 & 40.
Although it was another hot day in Maio, they worked all day long.
