Morrinho

Each village on Maio has it's dramatic effect. The Dunes is Morrinho's. When one thinks of sand dunes in the Cape Verde, one automatically recalls those of Boa Vista.

Maio's dunes which stand guard against the sea like a Medieval rampart is an unexpected surprise for new visitors to the island. The views from the tower of sand brings together the brilliant blue of the sky and sea and the earth tones of the mountains in the distance.
