An important update on furniture supplies to Maio Cape Verde, from Trevor Wilson at Boa Vista Property Services.
Hi everyone,
I am working on solving the problem of supplying furniture to Maio and specifically Villa Maris.
The shipping process is very expensive and complicated, I'm sure some of you have looked into it and established the problems. Unfortunately, Maio has no customs facility so I will send the container to Sao Tiago where it will be unloaded and checked by the powers that be. This involves me being there so I will have to fly from Sal to carry this out. The container then gets transferred from the international port to the local one from where it will be shipped to Maio. This process will not happen over night and consequently I will have to make further flights to organise this and get to Maio to accept the container.
I am only able to carry out this operation as I have a very good import agent, without this I would not attempt such a venture, it certainly makes shipping to Sal and Boa Vista islands look very easy.
