1000 émigrés participate in inaugural trip
The Cabo Verde Fast Ferry hydrofoil Kriola arrives in Praia (Santiago). Some one thousand Cape Verdean émigrés living in the United States and several European countries will participate in the inaugural trip of Cabo Verde Fast Ferry's hydrofoil Kriola, according to the company's vice-president Nelson Grégor. The high-speed vessel will arrive in Praia today, January 3.

A little over a month until the arrival of the first Fast Ferry Kriola from Cabo Verde Fast Ferry (CVFF). CVFF is waiting for an adjustment that has to be made to the port in Maio before it can receive the new ferry.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CVFF company, Andy Andrade, "The port in Maio has to be adapted with a ramp to receive the ferry."
